Apparently hemp grows best in temperatures 15-27 degrees and takes about 4 months until the seed is ready for harvest. So crops planted in late August/early September would be ready for harvest in late December/early January. So I guess it's fairly reasonable to expect to see some sales figures in the March quarterly. I don't know what the numbers will be although I think APH had requested 600 tonnes from the growers with option for up to 2000 tonnes. We should see something that will give us an indication how things might shape up over the next 12 months.
I'd need to double check but I think there are 2 sales agreements scheduled to start mid year so sales should pickup later in the year. I think it's still to early to assess the success of the RTO but I do want to see something decent happen over the next 6 months.
