PPS turned on a lucrative revenue stream last month when the RBA raised to 85bpt.
Using rough numbers, I can see an extra $5mln minimum in revenue which started last month based on 5% of platform assets (approx $20bln) being held in cash and PPS earning 50bpt on this cash ($1bln x 50bpt). Lazy advisors will hold more than 5% of client money in cash and I believe this estimate is very conservative. NWL at one point earned 25% of their income from their 50bpt charge on cash, which I note has now moved to 65bpt.
