What happens? They lose $10k
What happens if the person who lost $10k says "Oi! I'm going to sure you!"? Commsec says "Take a look at that disclaimer you agreed to when signing up, specifically the part here which says you understand this information is provided with no guarantees of accuracy" etc etc. They may also point out (and it may be true) that at the time they supplied that information it was entirely accurate, as long as you include something like an asset sale as income for that period. Making an investment decision based on one tiny piece of information with no context or understanding is a bad idea.
You want to be careful about where you get your information, how you do your research and how much you trust each piece of information.
I'm not sure when you bought or how much you paid, but for what it's worth I am very bullish about SEA as long as oil does not collapse again.
