Great idea Jackoland, but we still have a few months until the end of the half.
The earnings will necessarily be stronger than the last half. By how much is anyones guess but I think it could be as much as 30% or higher. Certainly on the basis on the significantly higher iron ore price and the significant reductions in discounting to 62% we should do much much better. At one point during the last half, the discount to 62% was approx 30%, where as as recently as the last few weeks it has been around 15 - 16%, that's in addition to the significant growth in the IO price compared with last year.
I think it will be a few months before we have deeper clarity, but I am confident it will be at least 30% higher all other things being equal.
