In the USA there are another two issues that encroach on the EPS result : The non expensing of executives options , and the non expensing of R&D . In both cases the end result is a HIGHER EPS than it should really be . Not all US listed companies use the said three factors to inflate their EPS but it quite safe to say that the majority do so .
