I totally forgot about Earth Hour. I didnt switch off any of the flourescent light bulbs that I bought costing $10 each to replace bulbs that cost $2 each. Bought because I couldn't buy incandescent bulbs any more. However not to worry, I was happy in the knowledge that they consumed a fraction of the power used by the old bulbs. Then we were asked to switch them off for an hour once a year...next day some guy was telling us to keep on doing earth hour every day, and not just for 1 hour. Hey come on mate !! Electricity and gas supply is given to every house built in Australia and the modern world. It's the only energy we know. We have no real choice. We need to use it regardles of where it comes from. I have no control over where it comes from....I am not a criminal ! I will not be demonised by a minority for using it. I will not go to my switch box and switch the main breaker. To hell with them ! I will never recognise earth hour again !!!
