IP theft isn't am exclusive problem for AKP.

Samsung and Apple have been duking ot out for years. Secrets have been sold out of the back door of factories for ages. Look at the folding glass Samsung were first to market but the competition had similar product fairly quickly.

Key to AKP's success is scaling and leveraging the IP as quickly as possible. I think we all accept a level of leakage, this a group of smart guys. Every protection will have been taken, as mentioned in previous posts the IP is no good to the mass marketed CE companies without AKP so that is an added level of protection, you can reverse engineer and knock it off but who's your market what's the value this is not cheap gear.

The firm and software provides another level of protection. There is IP risk as soon as finished product gets into the market.

let's hope we are well rolling before that's an issue.
