Bob, probably best not to nitpick the ambiguous things that people have posted - language is a blunt tool. You are definitely at cross-purposes.

What people are concerned about in this lengthy forum thread is whether EM can independently make their own working DSR chip and sell it to people and make money using AKP's technology.

I don't think anyone is saying that EM cannot produce anything functional - there has been a demo of an EM chip that produces at least some sound.
