The translation of the patent made it hard for me to comprehend, but my take on it is that it relates to the significantly different designs that they mentioned which have even louder output than gen2 chips. Seems to me that they found a way to change the resonance frequency of each pixel to produce more sound, whilst improving the consistency of each pixel's physical characteristics to further improve sound quality.
