Do I recall being said that Gen 1 chips being good (i.e. quiet enough) for over and in ear applications?
But has sloping output frequency response characteristic needing algorithmic correction?
Gen 2 chips for everything else? Flat response characteristic across the frequency range 20Hz - 200KHtz. What's not to like!
