Any thoughts on what might happen if a plane with these cracks was caught in some violent maneuver, such as clear air turbulence, storm or collision avoidance?
As an aside, has anyone experienced a series of loud "bangs" on takeoff in an A380? We were over the wing of an A380 taking off from Singapore when this happened. never heard anything like it before. Happened as soon as we rotated. Flight attendants didn't seem too concerned. On our flight out of LHR, no such noise was heard, but we were behind the wing for that particular flight.
