No-one is questioning the demand for sandalwood oil, just TFC's integrity in reporting yields. Its not hard to line up buyers for a commodity that is in high demand and short supply as evidenced by offtakes here struck with no access to convincing yield data ...

TFC were buying 10-15 year old Australian sandalwood trees from growers last year to track heartwood oil formation (plantation grown). They went to the Australian Sandalwood Network (www.asn.org.au) offering to pay members for some of their older trees. Its surprising they aren't prepared to put the same resources into their own Indian sandalwood.

Looks as though the initiator of this thread went to a lot of effort to join Hotcopper just for that post ...
