Misty, you are correct in that the liberals did a swifty by rushing it through.
However, the labour government only had a mandate not to build it PROVIDED the contracts were not valid.
As the contracts are indeed valid, the project should have gone ahead.
Both parties are just as bloody ridiculous as each other. In fact, the whole party system is an absolute joke.
Bring on "Athenian democracy" (direct democracy) where we can vote directly on legislation and issues of significance to the people. and scrap this 'party mandate' BS.
