The state governments have decimated the supply side of the gas equation in Vic and NSW, possibly worried about demand destruction and job losses, has been talked to by someone with ties to a huge low cost resource that could fill the gap. Just a guess.
I suppose these industries can’t be picked up and lobbed in the PB. Although could possibly be displaced. Unless PB gas is already earmarked for LNG anyway through acquisition?
