re: watso to jconnell -4 watso Not believing in god doesn't mean you live only for yourself. Quite the contrary. You have more time to live for other humans, who exist and need your help. Believing in God, is, in fact a very selfish act. You do so either out of fear, out of hoping to get 72 or so virgins, a million years of bliss, be near God, himself... not be near Bush... all of which are selfish or naive reasons. To go yet another step and believe everything the priest tells you about the paraphernalia and various accoutrements whichgo with the ecclesiastical side of the religion (like the current pope being presented, as he's suffering, on a balcony and making everyone associate him with Christ) is a morbid and grotesque psychosis.

Christian or Muslim or Jew or Hindu or Buddha -it's a bloody curse when people become less and less educated of the ways of the human and more and more on the ways of myths.
Dangerous stuff. Religion. It preaches greed and digging for oil! lol
