The current advance counts as wave v of 5 within the sequence from the 4758 June low. This count implies that a major reversal should follow. To what extent the market can extend gains ahead of this is the key short term question. Important wave relationship resistance occurs at the 6121-37 region. Should this area be broken, longer term wave relationships do not project key resistance until the 6342 to 6412 region where wave 5 equals 61.8% of wave 3 and of waves 1 to 3 respectively. Whether the fifth wave can extend this far is not clear. Rejection that results in a break of the 5941 support would need to occur to signal that a major high is in place. Weakness through support at 6019 would provide the earliest warning of reversal.
