No pattern. The mining industry drives up wages for sure, but not the other things. The school building stimulus is just about over as most projects are completed so that is not driving up demand any longer. Our new multi-function school hall was completed last December.
Big established contractors nearly always pay employees well as otherwise they get dud workers. They have learned that it's better to pay up and get a job done than waste time hiring cheap fools.
