Acquisition
Concept Sports Limited (ASX: CCS) (the Company) is pleased to announce that it has entered
into an agreement with GJK (Australia) Pty Ltd ACN 010 758 844 (GJK) to purchase the
business assets of that company for $400,000. This acquisition is the Company’s third during
the June 2008 financial year. The business assets being acquired from GJK relate to the
sports apparel business based on the Gold Coast in Queensland. The consideration for the
acquisition will be funded from future cash flows.
Chief Executive Officer Glen Casey said he expected the business to contribute an amount at
least equal to the consideration for the acquisition in earnings over next 12 months; this is
based on expectations of revenue of approximately $1 million being generated through
leveraging Concept Sports’ existing selling and manufacturing infrastructure.
Mr Casey went onto say that GJK is a reputable long term supplier to Gold Coast schools and
other companies and was expected to be a beneficial addition to the Company’s existing
businesses.
