The small processing plant was a deliberate move to begin production and ensure cashflow is available to then develop the copper mine processing plant. Gold is not even the main focus for Oxiana, so not sure why you would use their startup gold processing plant as a fair comparison. Sepon is just one small area they have exploited so far, mainly on the back of previous RIO drillings. Thenghem is now just being drilled and all initial results indicate it could be just as large as Sepon. There are two other defined areas that need to be drilled, as a result of previous RIO drillings. All this is but a small portion of the land that OXR has rights over for drilling prospects.
Whilst you couldn't class them as one of the best mineral discoveries in the world, they are certainly one of the richest discoveries in quality, and there is great potential for much, much more.
Management is aiming for an almost $2ill market cap, and that would firmly entrench them as a mid-cap explorer come producer.
The excitement is warranted in my opinion.
