We use to go out and collect Abalone and clams, a family freind was a Cray fisherman and use to bring us sack full of giant deep sea crabs.

All that stuff is now ridiculously expensive

One thing I do miss from the 50s and 60s was getting a 3p serve of chips and scallops with vinegar wrapped up in a newspaper

Just had a totally different taste to a "bucket" of chips
