eBay Charge Fees & Paypal Charge Fees - both fees are seperate from one another. If a customer pays via Paypal, then the merchant is charged that fee via paypal (not ebay) just clearing that up. So to say "afterpay replaces paypal" is wrong and incorrect.
I am a large seller on eBay and this has gone live on my listings already. Even though i also provide afterpay on my own webstore, eBay DO NOT charge merchants Afterpay Fees. It seems they are taking this fee on themselves in order to gain more customers to their platform. I would have to put my ebay prices up another 6% to cover Afterpay Fees if they charged merchants these fees. We already pay stupid amounts of fees to do business on ebay (in my case ~5% ebay fees + anchored store fees + listing fees + Paypal fee of ~1.75% + 30c) but they are the number 1 marketplace in Australia and have droves of loyal customers.
i welcome this i hope to see an increase in conversions on my ebay listings going forward.
