It's becoming clearer that the only approach to Ebola is containment... at this point we simply don't have resources to treat everyone. Quarantine is the only way the world will get through this.
The resources it took to treat just one patient in Dallas is obscene (and his family complained it wasn't enough) and now it has spread to 2 nurses so now it will need to be repeated again (and probably again... and again). It's great that there's research being done on vaccines, that's important, but without a workable one the only option is containment and quarantine. I agree with gilded that the only participation we should be having is to send resources, not people. And borders need to be closed. It's tragic and horrible to think about but the other scenario to so much worse.
