Well bring out the contract and let us read the relevant clauses because from my experience not many people check the agreed clauses are written in before the signatories sign the agreements. I bet the directors did not read the clauses and probably did not read the total agreement before signing. Sign here said the solicitor... oh yeah ok...Signed. Lots of mistakes hidden in private and confidential leases and agreement files in public companies.
