Great news just in for QBE holders. Eurpean central bank raises rates 25 basis points. First time since 2008. Typically this would mean that rates will rise gradually over the coming months as wouldn't normally have just a one off rate rise. Subsequently this puts extra pressure on US fed to raise rates later this year.
All good news for QBE and its bottom line.
