Economics 101 'restating the bleeding obvious' (rbo)
I'll try to keep this simple.
What we are experiencing in this market is the 'compression of value' the algo-bots, shorters, hedge funds etc. are driving the markets down inspite of the fundermentals.
Example: Qantas. $1.36. Market Cap $3.1B. Cash on balence sheet $3.1B. you get the planes, terminals etc.Free?
As for CCC: trashing a company that's producing a commodity that has exponential demand is playing King Canute with economics. The tide 'Compession of value' can only go so far, the further the compression the greater the Tsunami when the Algo goes from 'Compression' to 'Expansion' as all shorters will be trapped as value returns instantly. Obviously to inflict the greatest pain (profit)on short positions and trigger stop loss.
The question is who will blink first & when?
The first-move-advantage algo-bot to invert will clean-up instantly, and value will be returned to true believers.
My position 200,000 post consol. @ .05 negative $62K.Hurts but not fatal.
Bulls can make money.
Bears can make money.
Pigs always get slaughtered.
As to expenses/consultants/fees etc. TIA (this is Africa)don't ask/don't tell.
