    I've worked away in the mining industry for 12 years.
    I did indeed see the slump in 2008 first hand, as I was working in the Nickel sector and that got absolutely smashed down hard. Probably harder than any other mining sector.

    Fortunately, my company transferred me to Iron Ore and that has been very good for the last 4 years since.

    But things are slowing down in Iron Ore already, if you don't believe me do some independant research of your own.

    Most mines are now moving to a stabilisation phase where production is static and the construction phase is winding down.

    That will have huge implications for WA and the country in the next 12-24 months as the current batch of expansion projects wind down and are completed.
