Kurrajong, I agree that it is bad at the retail level. I have never seen so many empty shops in my sleepy part of Northern NSW. They keep closing and not opening. The same goes for the Gold Coast.
However some weeks ago I heard that the Australian workers are now hoarding up to 10% of their income whicch is unprecedented. My guess is that is due to a lack of confidence in society. I think a Coalition Government will result in an opening of the purse strings.
