Well it might be harder for a company to issue stock or sell bonds, this is true? Why is it true? Because perceptions have changed and thus its self forfilling.

Infact if you wanted to finance debt, its almost as easy as it has been in the last year with interest rates falling back down near lows. Naturally that might not hold up for trash bonds.

Sure the Yen has been strengthening againts the USD, but its still at a level its been at since 2001.

So once again, alter your time horrizon and not much has changed in the economic world.
