Hi Glenn@ECT_Rep
I am pleased to see that you are taking ownership of the performance of ECT with the move to now sign off with your name. I applaud the continued improvements in PR being made in difficult times.
This aside, given the performance and return of value to SH over the past 5+ years I believe it is time to make some tough decisions and cost cutting by the company until such time that ACTUAL deals and revenue is made.
First suggestion - And only my opinion, at no time did an office on Punt Road nor does it continue to add any value whatsoever to the company.
ECT has a base of operations in Bacchus Marsh and should be the office IMO. Its clearly apparent that an office in Melbourne is simply to limit travel of employees. Respectively it is time for the operations to be centralized both for productivity and cost reduction. If the employees do not want to travel then thank them for their years of service. I would not be opposed to this step.
Further linking to my next question please confirm the staff list of ECT as it currently stands. This appears from the outside to be a boys club where results are ignored and salaries given seemingly out to mates.
To expand please provide clarification of the current employment status of Mr Ashley Moore at ECT.
noting;
Mr Moore was the Chairman & Managing Director at time of the ALDP failure.
It is also my understanding that Mr Moore resigned from ECT as required to take up the Director of Indian Operations (ECT India). - Again since a failed venture.
Then without formal announcement of hiring of 'new staff', the following being stated without the recent ECT announcement;
'Ashley Moore, ECT’s head engineer commented, “To understand the reasons behind integrating CDP into the LVCP is to recognise lignite for what it really is – a valuable chemical feedstock source.”
It would appear that the former Managing Director is now a company engineer ? Surely this is not tenable and needs to be addressed.
Please confirm
