Now I don't know much about science but I do know if you Burn lignite or any type of coal you produce heat and left over ashes. To produce hydrogen you use a different process called pyrolysis where nothing gets burned. I also know there are patented chemical processes using catalysts that ECT do not have. They have been mentioned on this site before.
