Thanks NBZ. The rep is answering quickly and concisely, which I think is positive. I would be happier if there was great news that would bring the stock up, but evidently this is separate from the kind of responses being given. I do find it is hard to interpret tone, but if the name beside the responses were from a different poster, I would probably read it with a different bias.
Some posters who get upset might be for the very reason they are reading some of their own attitudes between the lines rather than the plausibility that ECT is probably just trying to answer the question. I have no reason but to take what the rep writes as at face value, and give them the benefit of the doubt even if it might come across a bit "smart".
If I am not happy with a response, and think it is a crucial issue, I will contact the company directly.
