True....but! There is some hard evidence, that "shocking" your system, by suddenly dramatically reducing food intake may have profound health benefits. See the work of Prof Roy Taylor, Newcastle Uni [UK]. Larger studies are underway.
Obviously...before you embark upon any such plan, consult your medical Dr and don't do anything that you your commonsense tells you is fool-hardy. Keep your water levels up......add a couple of slices of lemon and/or lime to a glass of water.
For most "westerners", a period of material reduced food intake, will not do them harm. But again, don't be foolish and consult your Dr.
