MINING industry figures who claim they were hoodwinked into a coal exploration deal involving Eddie Obeid and his sons have pledged they will seek to ensure the Obeids "do not make one dollar" out of the venture if found to have acted corruptly.
The threat by Cascade Coal directors John McGuigan and John Kinghorn to strip the Obeid family of any interest in the coal venture at Mount Penny, about 125km west of Newcastle, would cost the Obeids about $80 million.
