I’m a Digital Marketing Specialist with more tertiary education and professional experience in my field than I care to mention, but let’s just say it’s decades, I’m highly sought after, and I’m damn good at what I do. I’m also a long term investor in EDE - since 2013, and like most of you, I’m pretty disgruntled with EDE’s stagnating progress.
My expertise is in web marketing, digital marketing and SEO, and I’m here to tell you one of the reasons I think EDE is failing is because if it’s pitiful web and online presence.
If you Google Eden Innovations in incognito mode (which is how an unbiased search works), the first thing you should absolutely find is our company in page 1, position 1 of Google search results, but you don’t. You don’t even find it on the first page at all. Or the second page. You find it on page 3, 35 sites down the list. To those of you who don’t know, 90% of online users never click past the first page of Google Search results. Our company’s website is so far down the Google list that HotCopper lists us higher than we list ourselves.
I’m here to tell you that probably no one earth can find our company online EVEN IF THEY ARE LOOKING FOR IT. If they’re not specifically looking for it, but instead, are searching for CNT or concrete or any other product we sell, there’s no chance they’ll bump into us online. None!
And this could all be fixed with something as simple as a cheap AdWords campaign, blogging, white page posting, or backend SEO work on their website.
You all should be very, very concerned about this. It’s a massive red flag, a catastrophic failure in marketing, and VERY easy to fix - and EDE clearly don’t even know it. I could personally put EDE on page one of Google with a $0 budget, a laptop, an internet connection and a little bit of time.
Lastly, when you finally do find out website it’s coded with annoying pop-ups and says it’s based in India. There’s no reference to half our products and it’s navigation is like a child wrote it. The website is clearly neglected, boring, and if anyone in my industry created it, I’d fire them.
Honestly guys, I know what I’m talking about, and this is one of the worst examples on online presence I’ve ever seen from any business, let alone a multinational one. It’s online marketing is totally ineffective, it’s embarrassing, and it needs attention right now.
