If you look at the table on Page 3 you will see that the very highest Class AAA standard can be achieved simply by using less water and more cement. So why would people bother adding expensive Edencrete just to meet the minimum standard?

IMO EDE went for Class B approval because it would make the Edencrete results look much better. However even the next lowest Class A concrete is still 36% stronger in compression than Class B. Class AAA is a staggering 227% stronger than Class B without any using fancy additives.

So can someone explain the supposed 'compelling' economic and technical arguments for Edencrete when it is obvious that very cheap and very strong concrete meeting all GDOT standards can be made without using Edencrete or other fancy additives?
