Hi again jdog.
For what it is worth this is my take on the current situation:
One must not forget that most investors haven’t really got a clue where Eden currently is with regard to their 3 main projects (Optiblend, Shale Gas and Carbon). I’m not 100% sure either! This is of course completely understandable as the information out there is sparse to say the very least. This lack of communication is not only an Eden problem; it is a virus that is rampant in just about every other small cap stock company boardroom on the ASX! The director’s of these small caps still do not understand the importance of good company and thus investor communication and therefore leave the majority of investors entirely in the dark. It is therefore no surprise that short term investors simply run out of patience and suddenly put in orders to “sell on market” which, like today, always drives the SP down. Serious long term private and institutional investors are currently conspicuous by their absence and they will only get involved when Eden starts delivering and becomes profitable, and, when the chances of future sudden capital raising’s has entirely disappeared! Up until now Eden has not lived up to its promises and until they deliver at least one major success the SP will continue to languish between 1 and 2 cents. Basically investors remain very sceptical; however, IMHO, Eden may have (at long last) turned the corner last year as they now seem to have three good irons in the fire. At the present time the big and long term picture looks to me like this:
1. Optiblend sales will have improved over the latest quarter which will be announced within the next 10 days. I expect Optiblend to make Eden cash flow positive this year which will be a company milestone and help Eden become more credible.
2. Carbon, specifically the carbon in concrete project probably still has a few more months of testing to go before anything at all can be announced. If this technology can be proven to be commercially viable the low cost of production and the modular and thus cost efficient way that Eden can increase their production, should make this technology and product very competitive in the market. With the addition of the right JV partner this project could be a real money maker although this is probably, at the very least, 6-12 months away.
3. The UK Shale Gas asset is looking more valuable by the day due to the latest UK Gov't regulation and tax incentive news on shale energy in the UK. This asset is a nice one to have in the back pocket and it is only a matter of time before a deal is done regarding a sale. Whether or not this is Shale Energy PLC is, however, anyone’s guess.
Please do your own research (and visit your local church regularly)!
Cheers!
