Thought I would offer some details on the possible field and lab testing of EdenCrete.

First job is to obtain mixture samples from the project site. The portions are obtained from the mixing truck with the time between the 1st and final portions not exceeding 15 minutes. The portions should be combined and mixed with a shovel to make the composite sample.

Start moulds for strength tests within 15 minutes of making the composite sample.

Now that the portions have been obtained and mixed into a composite sample, testing can begin.

1/ Slump test.........Must be started within 5 minutes of obtaining the final portion for the composite sample. The entire test must be completed, uninterrupted, with 2.5 minutes.

2/ Air Content test.........Started within 5 minutes of obtaining the final portion for the composite sample.

3/ Temperature test..........Completed within 5 minutes of obtaining the final portion for the composite sample.

4/ Density and Yield test.........Must be started within 5 minutes of obtaining the final portion of the composite sample.

So that's the testing on the day that the slab was layed on the 1-20.....Tuesday, 4 August

On day 1 they would have started curing concrete samples for strength testing, porosity testing and abrasive resistance testing etc.

    CURING CONCRETE TEST SPECIMENS

    - Obtain the composite samples as per above.

    - Mould the composite samples within 15 minutes of being obtained.

    - Initial curing procedure takes up to 48 hours.

    - Final curing commences after approx. 48 hours of initial curing.

    For COMPRESSION TEST samples,

    - After final curing, when the sample/s are delivered to the laboratory, they must be stored under lab conditions for at least 24 hours before testing.

    For FLEXURAL TEST samples,

    - Shall be stored in calcium hydroxide for 20 hours before testing.

Note: Specimens shall not be transported until 8 hours after final set. Final set occurs before final curing. Final curing may occur away from the project site. Transportation time shall not exceed 4 hours.

    IMPORTANT.

28 days after concrete is poured, it should have reached 100% of its design strength.

At 28 days we are looking for very good strength tests (compression and flexural) and abrasive resistance test results. May also get 7, 14, and 56 day strength test results.

    ABRASIVE RESISTANCE TEST.

    - Depending on the test type, could be completed within just 60 minutes @ 28 days.

    POROSITY TEST.

    - Depending on the test type, could be completed within a few hours @ 28 days(?)

28 days is Tuesday, 1 September.

    GOOD LUCK
