Hi lockstock,
As far as I am aware CNT reinforced polymers/plastics (CNRP’s) are several times stronger and tougher than carbon fibre reinforced polymers/plastics (CFRP’s).
I have read that CNRP’s have already been used as a structural material in the Lockheed Martin F-35 jet.
I believe that CNRP’s still use carbon fibre as the primary reinforcement, but the binding matrix is a CNT filled epoxy (don’t quote me on this!).
