Why is it that you become so personal when confronted with an article you don't approve of?
If it is of any interest to you , our American affiliates within the Evangelical Christian Societies which number in the tens of millions, firmly believe that the so called occupied territories in reality belong to the Jews.
We are acutely aware that politically this view presents difficulties yet we also believe these problems should not negate Israels inalienable right to those areas.
That being the case, we do not believe that Sharon is breaching any International laws by defending Israel.
We have no doubt Sharon could and would make peace if Israel had suitable and realistic peace partners. Reality dictates that Arafat is entirely unsuitable for this role, and will not allow others to usurp his position.
You language equating Sharons actions to those of Hussein and Bin Ladin are inappropriate.
Sharon is obligated to protect the borders of Israel and his people. His people had a choice to repudiate him. They did not.
We agree wholeheartedly with the position the Israelis have taken, unpalatable as it may to those who believe Israel should be eliminated.
