MJN is getting closer to finally announcing the purchase of the Star and Messina mines. This has been a long process with the first mention of the Messina mine in November 2001. Since then the negotiations have gone the way of including the Star mine as well and after nearly 12 months of due dilligence and negotiations we are very close to seeing the final deal. Charles mentioned that he had hoped to have this finalised within a week of the AGM but as these things go it has taken a little bit longer than thought but apparently the extra wait is for the benefit of the MJN shareholders. We should be in for a nice xmas present.
