I'm not sure if you are suggesting that she went back to continue the relationship or be subject of more abuse. However there is a multitude of published studies going some way to explain why women remain in abusive relationships.
It is quite unfair to cast judgement on either party without facts. Consequently it will interesting to see what the PMO's investigation uncovers. Hopefully it is a transparent process that is resolved expediently,
