Website comparison similarweb.com suggests that in December 2022, the Dan Murphys site had the top ranking for 'beverages' in Australia.
During December, there were 7.1 million visits to the DM site, almost double the 3.8 million in October and substantially up from 4.7 million in November 2022.
Visits to the BWS site rose by 50 per cent from October 2022 to December 2022: 1.2 million a month turned into 1.8 million.
COL-owned Liquorland saw visits double between Oct and Dec from one to two million, but note how it's only about 28.2 per cent of the visits made by potential purchasers to the Dan's site.
COL also owns Vintage Cellars but it in December 2022 recorded just 250,000 visits.
MTS-owned Cellerbrations' site had 195,700 visits in December.
Together, Dan's and BWS are well ahead of competitors, although Liquorland may be #2 for sales ahead of BWS. Nonetheless having many BWS outlets adjacent to popular WOW supermarkets (the #1 chain in Oz) is a great feature.
