Stupid decisions are often made by dying governments, although the disastrous NSW Clubs' misfire with its CEO accusing the Premier (Perrottet) of looking at policies through his Catholic lens did not help EDV's arguments re poker machines.
It'll be interesting to see how the NSW Coaliton's claim that 'all gaming machines in NSW will be cashless within five years if we're reelected' stands up during the election as Labor's Minns has only committed to a trial involving 500 machines.
Bearing in mind the NSW Liberal/Nationals have little hope of winning the 25 March election, perhaps this is a classic example of policy that will end up being heavily modified. As it is, the Libs/Nats' policy discusses 'extensions' for rural pubs and clubs.
