I got an email from My Dan's yesterday offering me a 6 for $60 deal on a Pinnacle wine that I might have been interested in. I clicked on the link which took me to the Dan Murphys website where the wine was offered at $79.80 for six or $12 for one bottle!
I then queried the offer on the online chat. The good side was that the friendly online chat was operating at 2000 on a Sunday night when the stores were closed already. The bad side was that it appears that marketing have made an error in sending me that offer. The online chat girl was willing to manually override to give me the offer at that price. I suppose that is a legal requirement as the offer is in writing but I hope similar mistake offers haven't been sent to too many people as the cost of dealing with these sort of mistakes can be significant.
