Melbourne is the only Capital I WOULD live in, I have been there a handful of times and fell in love with that city.
Definitely next time you visit WA make sure you stop in the South West region, Busselton to Margaret River region, I promise you won't regret it one bit. - I have met some elderly people that have traveled Australia and have never seen anything like what we have down here. Sold their home over east and now live here!
