Hi,
A standard Tesla car requires 7kg of Lithium. This is at current prices US$300 per car. I believe the current average sale price of a Tesla is about US$50,000+.
Don't think a doubling of the Lithium price makes much of a dent into EV sales.
Tesla just increased prices for their cars by US$9000 because they can't keep up with demand. Profit margins at Tesla are 30%+.
I believe Lithium prices will continue their trend in 2022. Don't think their is any car battery that doesn't use Lithium.
So a doubling of Lithium prices from current levels is not a stretch during 2022 in my opinion.
