Well here is a match that could have been made in heaven, er America: Benitec is expanding into CAR T because it believes ddRNAi can enhance CAR T technology. Juno's primary focus is CAR T. Juno is a spin-off from the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Centre (FHCRC). The FHCRC has sponsored two clinical trials of Calimmune's Cal-1 for HIV/cancer patients. Calimmune is a licensee of Benitec's ddRNAi. Why not get Calimmune to introduce Benitec to the dudes at FHCRC and Juno? Who knows, maybe they would pay for Benitec to some ddRNAi/CAR T research on their behalf? A couple of hundred mill would be a good start.
