Theres no point throwing it in the bin yet, you might want to fill it out down the track. SLR is moving up into the 200 on 23rd Sep, the offer has been extended until 1st Nov and your not getting a fixed price you are getting 0.27 SLR shares, just because the offer equates to about 29c today doesn't mean when Nov 1st comes it will still equate to 29c. SLR moving into the 200 will likely rise the price due to 'new type' demand relating to 200 index, i often see sp's being depressed before 200 entry, might be re-positioning and tactical trading going on i'm not sure but normally after they enter i find they can do well. At the end of the day your still getting the same no matter what the SP as your getting 0.27 SLR's which means you guys will also benefit from any SP upside SLR receives from the 200 entry plus you'll own a less risky share thats making money and getting on with things without getting diluted to death.
