Whether the Directors reached their "accept" recommendation because of their arrangement with SLR for their expiring options, or because they did not feel capable to pursue financing arrangements through to commercialisation, or because they simply had no idea of EGA's value, then they should all go. The fact that they did not even seek an independent valuation says a lot.
An alternative that I am happy to consider is that SLR now make a decent offer and take control of the resource. At least SLR know how to value an asset, even if it is to their advantage.
