I went through this sort of games when RMS bid on EXU. All the RMS shareholders came to the EXU threads and told us what a great deal it was for us, we wouldn't get any more, blah, blah blah. In the end the EXU shareholders said no and RMS came back with a higher offer.

The sad thing is RMS offer from the start was semi-reasonable given the gold price at the time and the large capex required to build a plant. SLR is valuing EGA like the gold price is $1650 and they will have to build a plant at Rothsay.
